Friday night lights - Table top challenge
Sedgie face a real challenge against table toppers Guisbrough on Friday night for an 8pm kick off at Belmangate.
The form book is certainly with the Table toppers who until last Saturday had won every game with a try bonus point, though they had to settle for a losing bonus point in defeat to 2nd placed Hartlepool last week. They will be smarting and keen to make amends no doubt so we are definitely the underdogs in this one.
This is a rearranged game from earlier in the season when COVID prevented us from travelling, Our own form has improved since the new year but we had a tough time last week against Bishop and will need to be a lot better to be competitive. We agreed to a Friday night fixture so that Guisbrough can go and support one of their own Will Muir who is currently starring for Bath in the Premiership when his side face the Falcons at Kingston Park on Saturday. Awesome to see when local clubs produce pro players.
The Saxons are at home again on Saturday v Stocktonians.
