After last weeks morale boosting win over Winlaton, we welcome their neighbours Ryton to the Wok as we hope to make home advantage count with this the first of 4 home games on the bounce! Another tough test against a side who have double our points total on 28 and sit comfortably in mid table. The reverse fixture saw Sedgie leave Barmoor with a bonus point in a close fought game that went right to the wire and traditionally the games between the sides have always been close run affairs.

We know Ryton have some dangerous runners so will need to be right on our game to take another W as we bid to start getting off the foot of the table and up the league.

Definitely out is skipper James Watson who has trapped a nerve in his neck, Tom Ducker who is terrorising the natives of Poland, Whilst Phil Greenbank and Andy Fife are also out due to work commitments.

Sedge will keep faith with the majority of last weeks side who played some great rugby at times and name a strong squad

Graham Brennan is at loosehead with Seb Wilkins hooking, Dan Lawson moves from 2nd row up to tighthead, Pedro Gray is joined by Dave Hewitson in the boiler room of the 2nd row and the back row is unchanged with Massimo Impagliazzo, Will Johnson and Mitch Corney all continuing. Will Johnson will skipper the side in the absence of James Watson.

Nathan Waterhouse is a welcome return to number 9 and Gaz Pratt shifts out to stand off, John Pope and Terry Cook maintain their place in the centres after excellent performances last week, Out wide Ryan Towler and Lawrence Oliver are full of running whilst Owen Robinson return to take the number 15 shirt with Andy Fife away.

The finishers are again players who can change a game with Dom Ryan, Bobby Blackburn and Tom Flatters all capable of turning the game when they are called upon.

The Saxons are still hunting for opposition and are still looking for a few players to fill out the squad... But opposition more importantly!
