We are in the final month of the rugby season with only 3 games and 15 more points to play for!
Sedgie find themselves in the bottom 2 again by virtue of a couple of results going against us. Whether this will mean relegation, who knows? All we can do is try and pick out as many points out of the last 3 games to move as high up the league as we can. The league restructure is leaving everyone scratching their heads as to what next season will look like. The RFU still not decided as things stand with it likely to be after the season end before we will know for sure
Its not ideal for us, but also for teams competing at the top end with no real information about how many will go up, Gateshead in 5th will be hoping to hold off Ashington and Ryton to give themselves an outside chance of being one of the clubs going up. The reverse fixture saw us lose out at Gateshead by 45 -12 in a game where Gatesheads pace out wide and their outstanding number 9 was our undoing.
Saturday looks set to be another cold one after the weather tricked us into thinking we were headed for some better conditions and we are hoping we can set up another Sedgie special upset and bring home the points.
