Both sides were missing key players but Ashington were far superior to run out big winners. Unfortunately, from a Sedgie perspective there was not a lot to write about.

Even in one of the few bright spots for Ryan Towlers excellent finish of a great team try was tarnished by an injury to Gareth Pratt in the build up.

Sedgie will need to improve ahead of next weeks very tough game at home to high fliers Guisbrough.
